Sallie Mae Office Building

For the Sallie Mae Office Building in Reston, VA, The Shockey Precast Group manufactured and erected more than 1,100 pieces of precast in a very tight space, using both conventional and tower cranes. The second phase of the project consisted of architectural precast concrete cladding of an existing underground parking deck and the placement of architectural precast elements at the top surface of the deck. Shockey fabricated spandrels, column covers, wall panels, coping, planter walls, banding sills, stairs, and u-shaped planters at their Fredericksburg, VA plant. Joining The Shockey Precast Group on this project was general contractor Hitt Contracting of Fairfax, VA.
