Federal Gateway Office Building
Description
A spandrel and column design, the Federal Gateway Office Building in downtown Washington, DC stands a testament to the virtues of building and designing with architectural precast concrete from Shockey. The facility’s exterior finish is a light gray/slate green with an acid wash finish. The approximately 54,000 square feet of architectural and structural components include spandrels, column covers, and wall panels fabricated in Shockey’s Fredericksburg, VA plant. Spaulding & Slye Colliers of Washington, DC were both general contractor and owner on this project.
